Baithak is a music education initiative that has been working since 2016 to make music learning accessible to children from marginalized communities in India’s public schools. What began as a small weekend activity in 2015 has grown into a structured movement reaching over 8,000 children across 137 public schools and community centres. Baithak integrates music into everyday school life, creating systematic opportunities for students to experience and learn different forms of music. Alongside student impact, the initiative also supports more than 200 young artists by providing sustainable teaching and performance opportunities.
