HCG Foundation

The HCG Foundation was established as a public charitable trust on 4 December 2006 with the primary objective of supporting cancer patients from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The foundation focuses on ensuring that patients who lack financial resources are able to access appropriate and timely cancer treatment.

Financial assistance provided by the foundation is allocated on a case-by-case basis, primarily to general ward patients who demonstrate critical economic need. Support ranges from partial assistance to full coverage of cancer treatment costs. Since its inception, the HCG Foundation has provided financial assistance to over 4,000 cancer patients, helping reduce the economic burden associated with long-term medical care.

In addition to treatment support, the foundation actively engages in cancer awareness and early detection initiatives, particularly targeting underserved and rural communities. Its outreach work includes organising cancer awareness and detection camps, healthy lifestyle and prevention programmes for students, and large-scale public awareness activities.

The foundation also recognises the psychological and social impact of cancer and extends support to patients’ families wherever required. Its broader mission includes promoting education on cancer prevention, improving access to early diagnosis, and supporting research activities related to cancer prevention and treatment.

Through its sustained work in patient support, awareness, education, and outreach, the HCG Foundation functions as a non-profit organisation committed to improving access to cancer care and strengthening public understanding of cancer and its prevention.
