Pure Indian Classical & Semi-Classical Vocal Concert brings acclaimed Hindustani classical vocalist Kaushiki Chakraborty to Seaholm High School Auditorium in Birmingham, Michigan, on 11 September. Presented by Para Share Entertainments, the concert showcases one of the leading contemporary exponents of Hindustani classical music, celebrated for her command over khayal, semi-classical repertoire, devotional compositions, and expressive musical interpretation.
Joining Kaushiki Chakraborty on stage are Ojas Adhiya on tabla, Kedar Naphade on harmonium, and Sohail Yusuf on sarangi. Together, the ensemble will present a programme rooted in the traditions of Hindustani classical music, featuring raga-based improvisation, semi-classical compositions, and devotional works. The performance will also include English-language introductions, making the concert accessible to both experienced rasikas and audiences discovering Indian classical music for the first time.
