49th Gokulashtami Celebrations 2026: Carnatic Vocal Concert by Saketharaman in Bengaluru

The 49th Gokulashtami Celebrations 2026 continue with a Carnatic vocal concert by Saketharaman, presented by Unnati on 24 August 2026 at Odukkathur Mutt, Bengaluru. Widely recognised for his engaging concert presentations, Saketharaman combines classical depth with devotional fervour, offering performances that balance tradition, creativity, and expressive musicianship.

A leading Carnatic vocalist, composer, and disciple of Padma Bhushan Lalgudi Jayaraman, Saketharaman is admired for his mastery of Ragam-Tanam-Pallavi, thematic concert presentations, and original compositions. His performances are noted for their strong classical foundation, rhythmic sophistication, and ability to communicate the emotional essence of Carnatic music while remaining rooted in tradition.

He will be accompanied by H. N. Bhaskar on violin, Sai Giridhar on mridangam, and S. N. Narayana Murthy on ghatam. Together, the ensemble will present a traditional Carnatic concert featuring kritis, raga alapana, neraval, kalpana swaras, and rhythmic improvisations, highlighting the collaborative nature of the Carnatic concert format.

Organised by Unnati as part of its annual Gokulashtami Celebrations, the concert is hosted at the historic Odukkathur Mutt, a venue closely associated with devotional and Indian classical music programmes in Bengaluru.
