H. N. Bhaskar

H. N. Bhaskar is one of the leading violinists in the field of Carnatic music today. Born into a musical family, he is the son and disciple of the respected violinist H. K. Narasimhamurthy (HKN) of Mysore. From a very young age, Bhaskar showed a deep sense of melody and rhythm, and his early training under his father laid a strong foundation in both technique and tradition.

He later received advanced training from the legendary violin maestro M. S. Gopalakrishnan (MSG), under whose guidance he developed exceptional skill and versatility. Over the years, Bhaskar has become known for his mastery in solo performances, as well as his sensitive and dynamic accompaniment to many of the top Carnatic vocalists.

He has performed at prestigious venues around the world, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Sydney Opera House, and has been honored with several awards, such as the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar from the Sangeet Natak Akademi.
