Suhail Yusuf Khan

Suhail Yusuf Khan is a contemporary Indian classical musician and one of the leading young exponents of the sarangi in Hindustani classical music. He was born into a prestigious musical family and is the grandson of the legendary sarangi maestro Ustad Sabri Khan. Growing up in such a rich musical environment, Suhail was exposed to classical music from an early age and naturally developed a deep connection with the sarangi.

He received his primary training under his grandfather, Ustad Sabri Khan, following the traditional guru-shishya parampara. Later, he continued to refine his skills under the guidance of his father, Kamal Sabri, who is also a well-known sarangi artist. This strong lineage has helped Suhail inherit the distinctive style of the Moradabad–Sabri gharana, known for its rich tone, vocal-like expression, and intricate ornamentation.

Suhail Yusuf Khan has performed widely in India as well as internationally, representing Indian classical music on global platforms. Apart from traditional classical concerts, he has also explored fusion and contemporary music, collaborating with artists from different genres around the world. His performances are known for blending classical purity with modern sensibilities, making the sarangi appealing to younger audiences.
