The 28th edition of Vasantotsava, the annual festival of Pt. Birju Maharaj Ji’s Kalashram, is scheduled from 2 to 4 February 2026. As part of the festival, the 3 February program will take place at Kamani Auditorium starting at 6:15 pm. The evening focuses on Kathak dance and Hindustani classical music, reflecting both traditional repertoire and contemporary choreographic work.
The program includes a choreographic presentation by Kadamb. Kathak exponents Jayashree Acharya and Shinjini Kulkarni will present their choreographic works.
A Kathak solo will be performed by Tulani Kayani–Skeef. The group Laya Krida from Pt. Birju Maharaj Ji’s Kalashram will also present a group composition.
Further choreographic works will be presented by Paramita Maitra and noted Jaipur gharana artist Rajendra Gangani. Another Kathak solo is scheduled by Piyush Chauhan.
The music segment features a Hindustani classical vocal duet by Divakar and Prabhakar Kashyap.
The event offers audiences an opportunity to experience a range of Kathak and classical music presentations within a curated festival setting.
