Biography
Tulani Kayani-Skeef is a Kathak dancer and teacher based in London. She began her dance training in ballet at the age of four and transitioned to Kathak at nine. She is a graduate of the Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) and was a Category Finalist in BBC Young Dancer 2019.
Alongside her classical training, she explores contemporary movement in relation to Kathak. She founded In Your Skins, an initiative that combines classical Kathak and contemporary dance, focusing on themes of body confidence and female empowerment.
Her performance experience includes appearances at major venues such as Sadler’s Wells and Royal Festival Hall. She has also presented a Kathak interpretation of Swan Lake. Her current work includes touring and teaching, with growing visibility through her Solo Kathak India Tour 2026.
