Viraj Shriniwas Joshi Vocal Recital with Pandurang Pawar and Avinash Dighe at Ganasaraswati Mahotsav 2026

Viraj Shriniwas Joshi (vocal), grandson of the legendary Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi will perform at Ganasaraswati Mahotsav 2026 on Sunday, 15 February, from 4 pm onwards at Mahalakshmi Lawns. As a young representative of the Kirana gharana, Viraj Shriniwas Joshi carries forward a lineage known for its emphasis on swara purity, detailed raga development, and emotive expression. His presentations focus on traditional khayal architecture while engaging contemporary audiences. He will be joined by Shri Pandurang Pawar on tabla and Shri Avinash Dighe on harmonium, creating a supportive melodic and rhythmic framework. The concert offers listeners an opportunity to experience the evolving legacy of the Kirana vocal tradition in a live festival setting.
