Christ University presents Christ Chamber Concerts, an ongoing chamber music series highlighting the artistic work of its students and alumni. This edition focuses on ghazal and classical vocal music, performed in a close-knit ensemble format that allows for detailed musical interaction and clarity of expression.
The concert features Satyajeet Sanju on harmonium and vocals, Mazha S Muhammed presenting ghazal vocals, and Sumith Naik on tabla. Together, the artists explore lyrical expression, melodic structure, and rhythmic balance through a repertoire grounded in Indian classical and ghazal traditions. The use of harmonium and tabla supports the vocal narrative while maintaining the intimate scale characteristic of chamber performances.
Scheduled for 17 December 2025, the event will take place from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at Golden Square, Central Block, Christ University, Bangalore. Designed as an academic and performance-oriented initiative, Christ Chamber Concerts offers audiences an opportunity to engage with Indian classical music within a university setting while also documenting emerging and evolving artistic voices.
