The 72nd Annual Art Festival of Kalakshetra Foundation continues its long-standing tradition of presenting distinguished performances in Indian classical arts with a Hindustani vocal concert by Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar. The recital will be held at Bharata Kalakshetra Auditorium, Chennai, on 22 December 2025, beginning at 6:00 PM, as part of the festival running from 19 to 28 December 2025.

Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar is widely respected for his deep engagement with the Hindustani classical tradition and his thoughtful approach to raga development and presentation. His performances are known for combining scholarship with aesthetic sensitivity, drawing from multiple gharana influences.

He will be joined by Pt. Suresh Talwalkar on tabla, a leading percussionist known for his command over rhythm and accompaniment, and Ameya Bichu on harmonium, a well-travelled accompanist recognized for his supportive and nuanced playing.
