Pt. Budhaditya Mukherjee Sitar Recital with Soumen Nandy at Ganasaraswati Mahotsav 2026

Pt. Budhaditya Mukherjee (sitar), son and disciple of Pt. Vimalendu Mukherjee will perform as the finale artist of the second session at Ganasaraswati Mahotsav 2026 on Saturday, 14 February, from 4 pm onwards at Mahalakshmi Lawns. Recognized as a senior exponent of the sitar, Pt. Budhaditya Mukherjee is known for his lyrical alap, intricate gatkari, and disciplined raga architecture rooted in the Hindustani classical tradition. His playing reflects decades of training and performance experience on major concert stages. Shri Soumen Nandy will accompany him on tabla, whose rhythmic support complements the melodic development. The recital is designed as a complete raga exposition, offering listeners a focused and immersive classical music experience.
