Malhar & the Sea 2026 – Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar, Ranjani & Gayatri and Danish Husain | Goa

The opening day of Malhar & the Sea 2026 brings together diverse musical traditions under the festival theme, “One India. Many Voices.” Held at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa, the programme begins with a Dhrupad recital by Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar, followed by Carnatic vocal and Abhang presentations by the acclaimed Ranjani and Gayatri. The evening continues with Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shayar Hoon, a musical theatre production by Danish Husain, before concluding with a Sufi Qawwali performance by the Tasawwur Ensemble.

Presented as part of the third edition of Malhar & the Sea, the festival offers an intimate residential arts experience that brings together Indian classical music, devotional traditions, theatre, poetry, and cultural expression in a carefully curated setting. Hosted during Goa’s monsoon season, the event creates meaningful engagement between artists and audiences while celebrating the richness and diversity of India's performing arts traditions.
