Kathak Workshop with Guru Durga Arya – Bengaluru 2026

A three-day Kathak workshop led by Durga Arya will be held from 10 to 12 April 2026 in Bengaluru. The workshop is jointly organized by Sai Arts International and Nirantara School of Dance, bringing together structured training sessions for students and practitioners of classical dance.

The workshop is divided into two sessions each day. The morning session (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM) at Sai Arts International will focus on Taal Dhamaar, while the evening session (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM) at Nirantara School of Dance will cover Ek Taal Tarana. The sessions are designed to provide in-depth training in rhythm, composition, and performance aspects of Kathak.

This intensive program offers participants an opportunity to learn directly from a senior disciple of Pt. Birju Maharaj, engaging with traditional repertoire and technique. The workshop contributes to ongoing efforts to promote and sustain classical dance education through institutional collaboration and practical learning formats.
