Durga Arya

Vidushi Durga Arya is a Kathak dancer, choreographer, and teacher associated with the Lucknow Gharana. Based between Germany and India, she is engaged in performance and teaching, conducting workshops and training sessions across multiple cities.

Her work focuses on elements of abhinaya, thumri, and the interpretative aspects of Kathak, with an emphasis on expression and narrative. She is associated with the teaching lineage of Pt. Birju Maharaj and continues to present and teach compositions rooted in this tradition.

As a performer, she has participated in concerts, collaborations, and curated presentations, including appearances in festivals and thematic productions.
