About Niranthara School of Dance
Sai Arts International, located in Bengaluru, serves as both a premier classical dance institution and a cultural venue supporting Indian performing arts. Founded in 1992, the institution has played a significant role in nurturing dancers in Bharatanatyam and Kathak, offering structured training under the guidance of Guru Dr. Suparna Venkatesh. It provides a dedicated space for learning, rehearsals, and artistic development within the city’s vibrant cultural ecosystem.
The venue has been instrumental in shaping the careers of artists such as Somashekar and Sowmya Somashekar, who have trained extensively at Sai Arts International and performed across national and international platforms, including festivals in the UK, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, and Russia. The institution supports both emerging and professional artists through continuous training, workshops, and performance opportunities.
Sai Arts International also functions as a platform for curated cultural events such as Sai Nrityotsav and student debut performances like Rangapravesha and Rangmanch Pravesh. Through these initiatives, along with collaborations and choreographic productions presented at major venues, it actively contributes to the preservation and global presentation of Indian classical dance traditions.
