Gangadhar Swarotsav 2026: An Evening of Sarod & Tabla

Gangadhar Swarotsav 2026 brings an evocative evening of Hindustani classical music to Pune, celebrating the expressive depth of string and rhythm. This year’s concert features an intimate jugalbandi of Sarod and Tabla, where melody unfolds with nuance and percussion responds with eloquence. 

Renowned sarodist Pratik Shriwastav leads the evening, drawing listeners into the sarod’s rich tonal landscape, at once meditative and powerful. His phrasing and layakari promise a narrative journey through raga, revealing layers of emotion and craftsmanship. 

Accompanying him is Rohit Mujumdar on tabla, whose sensitive accompaniment and dynamic rhythmic dialogue elevate the performance. Together, the duo creates a seamless conversation between string and rhythm, rooted in tradition yet alive with spontaneity. 

The concert will be held on 1st February, 6:00 PM, at the Samavasaran Amphitheatre, Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI), Pune. Tickets are now live, an unmissable evening for rasikas and newcomers alike.
