The 49th Gokulashtami Celebrations 2026 continues with a Carnatic flute recital by J. B. Shruthi Sagar on 20 August 2026 at Odukkathur Mutt, Bengaluru. Organised by Unnati, the concert marks Shruthi Sagar's first appearance at UTSAV, adding a distinguished instrumental presentation to the festival's annual celebration of Carnatic classical music.

Recognised for his expressive flute playing, refined raga exposition, and rhythmic improvisation, J. B. Shruthi Sagar has performed extensively at leading sabhas and music festivals in India and abroad. His recital will present traditional Carnatic compositions, exploring the melodic richness and improvisational depth of the bamboo flute while reflecting the artistic traditions of the Carnatic concert format.

He will be accompanied by L. Ramakrishnan on violin, Poongulam S. Subramanian on mridangam, and Bharadwaj Sathavalli on morsing. The performance forms part of UTSAV 2026 – 49th Gokulashtami Celebrations, a festival dedicated to presenting leading musicians and preserving India's Carnatic classical music heritage.
