Ragamala Lights 2026: A Khayal Vocal Concert by Smt. Bharathi Prathap

As part of the Ragamala Lights series, acclaimed vocalist Bharathi Prathap presents an enriching concert celebrating the beauty and depth of the Khayal tradition. Beginning her musical journey in Carnatic music at an early age and later immersing herself in Hindustani classical music, Bharathi has developed a distinctive artistic voice shaped by years of rigorous training under eminent gurus including Maruti Rao Inamdar, Rama Rao V. Naik, and her long-time mentor Lalith J. Rao. 

Drawing from the rich traditions of the Agra Gharana, her recital promises an engaging exploration of raga, improvisation, and lyrical expression, reflecting both the strength and sophistication of this celebrated musical lineage. Joined by Yogeesh Bhat on tabla and Sarang Kulkarni on harmonium, the concert offers audiences an opportunity to experience the elegance and grandeur of Hindustani classical vocal music in an intimate setting.
