Biography

Sarang Kulkarni is a Hindustani classical harmonium artist based in Belagavi, Karnataka. He is the son and disciple of the renowned harmonium maestro Dr. Sudhanshu Kulkarni, under whom he received systematic training. Their harmonium jugalbandi performances have been an important part of his early and ongoing musical journey.

He holds the title of Sangeet Visharad from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, reflecting his formal grounding in Indian classical music. In addition to his musical education, he also holds a master’s degree in management, balancing academic training with an active performance career.

As a performer, Sarang Kulkarni has appeared at notable platforms such as Harmonium Habba and the National Programme of Music, where his work has been recognized for its clarity, discipline, and adherence to classical aesthetics. His contributions to harmonium performance have been acknowledged through several awards, including the Pt. Ratilal Bhavsar Smruti Puraskar (2002) and the Pt. Rambhau Bijapure Award (2006).
