London Ragas Darbar: Shakir Khan & Shahbaz Hussain

London Ragas Darbar presents an intimate evening of Indian classical music featuring Shakir Khan (Sitar) and Ustad Shahbaz Hussain (Tabla). Bringing together the rich legacy of the Etawah Gharana and the expressive artistry of contemporary tabla performance, this concert offers audiences an opportunity to experience the depth, improvisation, and meditative qualities of the Hindustani classical tradition.

Shakir Khan, representing a distinguished lineage of sitar maestros and following the musical path of his father Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan, is widely recognised for his refined artistry and raga interpretation. Joining him is Ustad Shahbaz Hussain, one of Europe’s leading tabla exponents, celebrated for his versatility across both classical and cross-cultural musical collaborations.
