Interaction and Demonstration by Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia – Bansuri Parampara 2026 (Day 1)

The second presentation of Bansuri Parampara 2026 (Day 1) features a special interaction and demonstration by the renowned bansuri maestro Padma Vibhushan Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia. In this session, the legendary flautist shares insights into ragas specially developed and adapted for the bansuri, discussing their musical structure, interpretation, and performance practice.

Scheduled from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM on 14 March 2026, the session will take place at The Poona Western Club, Bhugaon, Pune. The program offers audiences an opportunity to listen to Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia’s reflections on the evolution of bansuri repertoire and the creative process behind raga development for the instrument.

Presented as part of the Bansuri Parampara 2026 festival, the session highlights the guru–shishya tradition and the transmission of knowledge within Hindustani classical music. The Blissful Winds Foundation organizes the event in association with the Pt. Rupak Kulkarni Music Foundation, bringing together artists, students, and listeners interested in the bansuri's legacy.
