The closing concert of NAAD Season 5 will present The Classi-Folk Collab, a special musical event bringing together leading artists from Indian classical and folk traditions. The concert will take place on 22 March 2026 from 6:00 PM onwards at GD Birla Sabhaghar, Kolkata, organized by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in association with the Pandit Shankar Ghosh Tabla Foundation and curated by maestro Bikram Ghosh.
This collaborative performance will feature a diverse lineup of musicians, including Kalpana Patowary (vocal), Pandit Bikram Ghosh (tabla), Rajhesh Vaidhya (veena), Soumyajyoti Ghosh (flute), Sankhadeep Chatterjee (dual piano), and Pranav Dath (drums). The program explores the intersection of classical ragas and folk traditions, combining instrumental and vocal music in a contemporary collaborative format.
Presented as the finale of the NAAD Season 5 concert series, the event highlights the diversity of Indian musical heritage through a fusion of classical, folk, and modern musical elements. The evening will also feature Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya (santoor) as a special guest, adding another dimension to the collaborative performance.
