Kasturi Srinivasan Hall - Music Academy

The auditorium, commonly referred to as the Mini Hall, has a seating capacity of approximately 225 people and forms part of a multipurpose building that also houses a library, committee rooms, and recording facilities. Because of its intimate size and acoustically suitable layout, the venue is often used for lecture demonstrations, classical music recitals, dance presentations, and educational programs organized by the Academy.

In recent years, the hall has undergone a major transformation into a state-of-the-art performance space, supported by philanthropic contributions from organizations and individuals. Notable donors include the Shiv Nadar Foundation, which made the largest single donation for the renovation. Additional contributions from patrons such as Brahmal Vasudevan and architect PT Krishnan helped modernize the venue while maintaining its role as an important cultural space for intimate classical performances in Chennai.
