Surabhi ’26 – “Harini” Bharatanatyam Production by Meera Sreenarayanan in Boston

Surabhi ’26 is a cultural event presented by the Council of Indian Fine Arts of USA (CIFA) featuring the thematic Bharatanatyam production “Harini” by renowned dancer Meera Sreenarayanan as part of her United States tour. The production explores classical Bharatanatyam through narrative choreography, expressive abhinaya, and traditional music, bringing a thematic presentation of Indian classical dance to audiences in the New England region.

The event will take place on 11 April 2026 at Doherty Memorial High School, Worcester, Massachusetts. In addition to the main production, the programme will also feature performances by Priya Bangal, an Odissi dancer based in the Boston area, and Vivek Ramanan, presenting Indian classical dance works as part of the evening’s artistic lineup.

Organized under CIFA’s Surabhi performance series, the event aims to showcase leading and emerging artists of Indian classical dance while strengthening cultural engagement within the South Asian arts community in the United States. Through such curated presentations, Surabhi continues to create platforms for classical dance traditions and cultural exchange in the New England region.
