An evening of Khayal, Thumri and Ghazal with Muslim Shaggan

Qalandar Arts is pleased to present an evening of Hindustani classical music with the talented vocalist Muslim Shaggan. A representative of the Gwalior gharana and grandson of the renowned Ustad Ghulam Hassan Shaggan, he has been gaining attention for his powerful and expressive singing.

His first visit to London earlier in 2025 received a warm response, leading to many requests for his return. We are delighted to welcome him again, performing alongside two respected musicians: Ustad Shahbaz Hussain on tabla and Satwinderpal Singh on sarangi. The trio first appeared together in July, and the response highlighted their strong musical connection.

Audiences can expect a rich programme of khayal, along with thumri and ghazal, offering a deep dive into classical and semi-classical traditions.

Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the concert begins at 7:30 PM. Seating will be available on a first-come basis. There will be an interval, and the event is expected to finish around 10:00 PM
