Join us for "Eternal Echoes: From Ancient Voice to Modern Strings" at Lee Seng Tee Hall, Cambridge—a special evening dedicated to the beauty of Indian classical music, part of Kala Festival 2025.

Experience Dhrupad, one of India's oldest and purest vocal traditions, known for its contemplative style and deeply meditative quality. Vocalist Amit Sharma is a dedicated practitioner and respected exponent of this art form. He is visiting us from Zurich to deliver this uniquely planned, soulful performance after an extended period. Saleel Tambe from the UK, a grassroots artist on tabla, will accompany him. On Tanpura, we will have Ishtar Doblar from Zurich. These instruments will create a deeply immersive musical atmosphere, and together, they will transport us to the world deep within ourselves through this ancient form of music genre.

Following the intermission, enjoy a vibrant performance by the Trinity Trio, which blends classical roots with fresh, modern expressions. This exceptional ensemble features the captivating artistry of Pandit Debasis Chakroborty on Indian slide guitar, the imaginative piano of Raaga pianist Deepak Shah, and the intricate rhythms of tabla maestro Ustad Akram Khan. Each travels from India to perform at various places in the UK during this festival.

Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the performance begins at 6:30 PM. Join us for a memorable evening where ancient music meets modern creativity, uniquely designed for Cambridge's vibrant cultural audience.

See you there, Cambridge!
