49th Gokulashtami Celebrations 2026: Carnatic Vocal Concert by Sikkil C. Gurucharan in Bengaluru

The 49th Gokulashtami Celebrations 2026 continue with a Carnatic vocal concert by Sikkil C. Gurucharan, presented by Unnati on 25 August 2026 at Odukkathur Mutt, Bengaluru. Recognised for his refined musicianship and expressive concert presentations, Gurucharan is admired for performances that combine classical depth with elegance, creating a listening experience that is both engaging and emotionally resonant.

Known for his thoughtful interpretation of Carnatic compositions, Gurucharan brings together traditional repertoire, improvisation, and lyrical expression while remaining firmly rooted in the classical concert tradition. His performances are celebrated for their musical sensitivity, clarity of presentation, and ability to connect with audiences across generations.

He will be accompanied by V. Sanjeev on violin, Thumkur Ravishankar on mridangam, and Skanda Manjunath on ghatam. Together, the ensemble will present a traditional Carnatic concert featuring kritis, raga alapana, neraval, kalpana swaras, and rhythmic improvisations that highlight the collaborative artistry of Carnatic classical music.

Organised by Unnati as part of its annual 49th Gokulashtami Celebrations, the concert will be held at the historic Odukkathur Mutt, a venue with a long-standing association with devotional, cultural, and Indian classical music programmes in Bengaluru.
