Rupak Kulkarni

Rupak Kulkarni is an Indian bansuri player representing the Maihar gharana of Hindustani classical music. He began his musical training under his father, Pandit Malhar Rao Kulkarni, before continuing his discipleship with Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. Active since the 1970s, he has performed at leading music festivals including Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav, Tansen Samaroh, Harballabh Sangeet Sammelan, Saptak Music Festival, Vishnu Digambar Paluskar Samaroh, Gunidas Sammelan, and Ustad Amir Khan Samaroh. A Top Grade artist of All India Radio, Rupak Kulkarni has released numerous classical and devotional albums and has contributed to music therapy recordings, while continuing to present bansuri recitals, recordings, and workshops in India and internationally.
