Rupak Bhattacharjee

Rupak Bhattacharjee is a highly talented and renowned tabla player known for his mastery, precision, and expressive style. Born into a family of music lovers, he began learning tabla at the age of four from his father, Sri Arun Bhattacharjee, and later trained under Sri Mrinal Kanti Bakshi before becoming a devoted disciple of the legendary Pandit Anindo Chatterjee. Over the years, Rupak has earned great respect both as a solo performer and as an exceptional accompanist to many of the leading figures in Indian classical music. An “A” grade artiste of All India Radio and Doordarshan, he has performed at major concerts across India and around the world, captivating audiences with his skill and rhythmic brilliance. A recipient of the President’s Award in 2004, Rupak continues to uphold the rich tradition of tabla while adding his own creative touch to every performance.
