Rasik Performing Arts (RPA) is a leading Indian classical dance and music academy based in Gurugram, Haryana, focused on the preservation and promotion of Kathak, particularly the Lucknow Gharana. History

Rasik Performing Arts was established in 2008 by Jayashree Acharya, a senior disciple of Birju Maharaj. After extensive training at Kathak Kendra and an international performance career, she founded the academy to create a focused platform for Kathak education in Gurugram, which at the time had limited infrastructure for classical arts.

In its early years, the institution played a role in shaping Gurugram into a more active cultural hub, offering training and performance opportunities for students and artists. RPA also expanded its reach through international collaborations, including workshops and performances in Sri Lanka, facilitated by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.

Over time, the academy has developed a strong presence through its repertory work and festival participation, including presentations at major venues such as Kamani Auditorium in New Delhi. Its continued growth reflects a sustained commitment to tradition, pedagogy, and contemporary relevance within Indian classical dance.
