Formed as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the foundation works to create a platform where artists, students, and audiences can connect through performances, workshops, and collaborative cultural events.

The organization was founded and is led by a team of young artists and cultural organizers, with Akshainie Kamma serving as the founder and executive director. With a focus on nurturing artistic dialogue and community engagement, the foundation has developed initiatives that highlight both locally based artists in the United States and visiting artists from India.

Alongside promoting classical arts, Kalaavidya Foundation also directs its fundraising efforts toward supporting the education of underprivileged girls in rural and underserved regions of India, linking cultural programming with broader social impact.
