Krishna Das Europe Tour 2026: Kirtan Concert at Dominicuskerk, Amsterdam

Krishna Das Europe Tour 2026 continues with a second evening of kirtan at Dominicuskerk in Amsterdam. Organised by HeartFire, the concert celebrates the tradition of kirtan, an ancient Indian devotional practice of call-and-response chanting based on sacred mantras and the names of the Divine. Open to audiences of all backgrounds, the gathering offers an opportunity to experience collective singing, meditation, and devotional music in one of Amsterdam's notable cultural venues.

The evening features Krishna Das, one of the world's best-known exponents of kirtan, whose performances have introduced the practice of bhakti chanting to audiences across the globe. The programme begins with an immersive rhythm-and-mantra sound journey by tabla artist Arjun Bruggeman, creating a contemplative atmosphere before the kirtan. Lasting approximately two to three hours, the concert combines traditional mantra chanting with community participation, making it suitable for both first-time attendees and experienced practitioners.
