The 49th Gokulashtami Celebrations 2026 continue on 27 August 2026 with a Carnatic vocal concert by Kunnakudi Balamuralikrishna at Odukkathur Mutt, Bengaluru. Presented by Unnati, the programme features one of the prominent contemporary Carnatic vocalists, known for his tradition-rooted repertoire, expressive voice, and engaging concert presentations. His performances combine detailed raga exposition, manodharma, and classical compositions, reflecting the depth and continuity of the Carnatic concert tradition.

He will be accompanied by Mysore Srikanth on violin, Dr Tiruvarur Bakthavathsalam on mridangam, and Giridhar Udupa on ghatam. Together, the ensemble brings melodic refinement and rhythmic interplay to the traditional Carnatic concert format, offering audiences a complete classical music experience.

Organised as part of Unnati's 49th Gokulashtami Celebrations, the concert continues the festival's long-standing commitment to presenting leading Carnatic musicians in Bengaluru. Hosted at Odukkathur Mutt, a venue closely associated with devotional and Indian classical music performances, the programme provides rasikas an opportunity to experience live Carnatic music in an intimate cultural setting.
