Vivek Sonar

Vivek Sonar is an Indian bansuri player, composer, and senior disciple of Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. Representing the Maihar gharana, he has performed at leading Indian classical music festivals, including Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav, Sankat Mochan Sangeet Samaroh, Hampi Utsav, and Kala Ghoda Festival, as well as concerts across Europe, North America, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East. He is the founder of Bansuri Utsav, India's first flute festival, and the Gurukul Prathisthan music trust. Through the myGurukul digital platform, he has expanded access to Indian classical music education for students in more than 60 countries while continuing to present solo recitals, jugalbandis, and collaborative performances.
