Ustad Shiraz Ali Khan

Shiraz Ali Khan is a talented sarod player who represents a rich musical legacy. Born into the legendary Maihar Senia Gharana, he began his musical journey at the age of five under the guidance of his father, the late Prof. Dhyanesh Khan, and later trained with his grandfather Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, his uncle Ustad Aashish Khan, and his aunt Smt. Ameena Perera. Though he also learned Tabla from the late Pt. Shankar Ghosh, his true passion led him to dedicate himself fully to the Sarod. Blending deep classical tradition with a modern outlook, Shiraz balances his traditional training with creative collaborations in world music, performing with renowned artists and contributing to various musical projects and documentaries.
