JA Jayanth

Flute J.A. Jayant is a Carnatic flutist, composer, and educator associated with the stylistic lineage of the legendary T. R. Mahalingam (Flute Mali). Born into a musical family, he trained under his grandfather, Flute T.S. Sankaran, a direct disciple of Mali. Jayant is regarded as a torchbearer of this bani (style), marked by tonal precision, breath control, and improvisational depth.

He drew early attention for performing complex Raagam Thanam Pallavi (RTP) presentations at the age of seven, demonstrating command over laya and raga development at an early stage.

J.A. Jayant has completed over 45 international tours across more than 25 countries and has presented nearly 2000 solo and collaborative performances.
