Biography
Anubhab Khamaru is a Hindustani classical vocalist from Kolkata and a scholar at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy. Trained under Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty at Shrutinandan, he represents a new generation of artists grounded in the Guru-Shishya parampara and traditional raga-based music.
His performances include regular appearances in the ITC SRA Wednesday Recital series, presenting ragas such as Shyam Kalyan, Jog, Gorakh Kalyan, and Bageshree. He has also participated in major music platforms, including the ITC Mini Sangeet Sammelan, and has received recognition through competitions such as the Satguru Jagjit Singh Shastriya Sangeet Partyogita.
Known for his structured approach and clarity in raga presentation, Anubhab Khamaru performs khayal along with semi-classical forms like thumri and abhang. His ongoing concert activity and association with leading institutions position him within the contemporary Hindustani classical music landscape.
