Biography

Amaan Hussain belongs to a multi-generational family of sarangi musicians. His early musical education began under the guidance of his father, Sarwar Hussain, in Bhopal. From childhood, he appeared in educational and documentary projects that followed the development of young classical musicians.

He later became associated with the ITC Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkata, where he lives and trains as a scholar. At SRA, he has been encouraged to perform regularly and to accompany vocalists across different gharanas and stylistic traditions.

His documented performances include a presentation of Raga Shri at the Young String Festival organized by the Swarit Foundation. Alongside solo appearances, he continues to develop as an accompanist within the institutional framework of Hindustani classical music.
