Biography
Aamir Mir represents the new generation of Gujarati and Sufi music. Growing up in a musical environment, he received his early and formal training from his father, Osman Mir. This grounding in classical and folk traditions shaped his vocal style and musical understanding.
His work spans folk, Garba, ghazal, Sufi, and devotional genres, often presented with a modern touch. Aamir has released more than 29 songs, including “Maari Maavadi,” “Tere Jaisa Koi Mila Hi Nahin,” and “Jiyara.” These tracks have helped him connect with both traditional listeners and younger audiences.
He has worked with leading composers such as Amit Trivedi and regularly shares the stage with his father, Osman Mir, at major concerts and festivals. These performances have given him wide visibility and helped him connect with diverse audiences. With an expanding body of work and increasing collaborations, Aamir Mir is gradually shaping a distinct artistic voice while honoring and extending the rich musical legacy he has inherited.
