Omkara Space Switzerland

Omkara Space is a cultural and educational venue located in Geneva, Switzerland, serving as the primary studio for the Omkara School of Indian Dance. Under the direction of Sujatha Venkatesh, the space is dedicated to the teaching and promotion of Bharatanatyam in the Pandanallur style, along with broader engagement in Indian classical arts and cultural studies.

Designed as an intimate and focused learning environment, Omkara Space hosts regular dance classes, masterclasses with visiting artists, lecture sessions on texts such as the Natya Shastra, and formal examinations affiliated with the Imperial Society for Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). Its calm and minimal aesthetic supports disciplined practice and artistic immersion for students at various levels.

Beyond its role as a training studio, Omkara Space functions as a hub for cultural exchange within Geneva, contributing to the visibility of Indian classical dance in an international context.
