About The Bhavan, London
Often referred to simply as "The Bhavan," this iconic institution is the largest centre for classical Indian arts and culture outside of India. For over 50 years, it has stood as a cultural beacon in London, dedicated to preserving and promoting India's rich heritage.
More than just a performance venue, The Bhavan is a living campus where the Guru-Shishya tradition thrives. It is the only organisation in the UK offering such a comprehensive range of traditional cultural activities under one roof, making it a "must-visit" destination for artists, students, and connoisseurs of Indian classical music and dance.

The Mountbatten Auditorium:
A 294-seat, tiered theatre renowned for its excellent acoustics. It is the heartbeat of the venue, regularly hosting concerts by legendary maestros of Carnatic and Hindustani music, as well as Bharatanatyam and Kathak dance recitals.
M.P. Birla Millennium Art Gallery:
A spacious, contemporary gallery flooded with natural light. It hosts rotating exhibitions featuring traditional Indian painting, sculpture, and photography, often opening onto a pleasant outdoor terrace.
Dance & Music Studios:
The venue features multiple dedicated practice and teaching spaces, including Hathi Hall and Kathak Hall, which serve as vibrant rehearsal spaces for emerging talent.
