Worcester is a city in Worcestershire, England, with historical ties to Indian classical music through its role as a venue for performances and cultural exchange. The city hosted early 20th-century concerts by visiting Indian musicians, though specific archival records from this period remain incomplete. In 1982, sitarist Ravi Shankar performed at the Worcester Guildhall as part of a UK tour, presenting raga-based compositions accompanied by tabla player Alla Rakha.
