Shree Ranjani Foundation Trust is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting and preserving Indian Classical Music and Dance. Best known for organising the Swara Samrat Festival (SSF), the trust provides a prestigious platform for legendary maestros and emerging young talent across Hindustani and Carnatic traditions. Led by the family of Sarod maestro Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, the trust collaborates with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and corporate partners. Beyond festivals, it champions a ticket-based cultural model to foster deeper respect and long-term sustainability for India's classical arts ecosystem.

History

Founded in 2017 by the family of Sarod maestro Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, including vocalist Manasi Majumdar and sarod exponent Indrayudh Majumdar, the trust began with the Swara Samrat Festival in Kolkata. It has since expanded nationally, hosting SSF in major cities like Hyderabad, at the Ravindra Bharathi Auditorium in 2026, and has grown into one of India's most respected classical arts institutions.
