About Sahitya Kala Parishad
Sahitya Kala Parishad is the official cultural wing of the Government of NCT of Delhi, dedicated to the promotion and preservation of music, dance, drama, literature, and visual arts. Established in 1968 under the Department of Art, Culture and Language, the organisation conducts major cultural festivals, theatre events, scholarships, artist welfare schemes, exhibitions, and youth programs across Delhi. It organises renowned festivals such as the Qutub Festival, Indraprastha Sangeet Samaroh, Thumri Festival and Bhartendu Natya Utsav while supporting emerging and senior artists through grants, fellowships, workshops, and cultural exchange programs.
