Thumri Festival

Thumri Festival is a prominent annual music festival celebrating the rich heritage of Thumri, one of the most expressive forms of Hindustani semi-classical music. The festival brings together legendary vocalists, instrumentalists, and emerging artists to present romantic and devotional compositions rooted in classical traditions and folk influences. Organised by leading cultural institutions such as ITC Sangeet Research Academy and Sahitya Kala Parishad, the event features performances accompanied by sarangi, tabla, sitar, and harmonium, preserving the lyrical beauty and emotional depth of the Thumri tradition.
