About HCL Concerts

Over the past two decades, HCL Concerts has developed into one of India’s largest performing arts platforms dedicated to Indian classical music and dance. The initiative organizes concerts and cultural programs across multiple cities in India, presenting performances by established maestros as well as emerging artists. Since its inception, the platform has hosted more than 800 concerts featuring over 3,200 artists, reaching audiences of more than 325,000 attendees through live events.

In addition to stage performances, HCL Concerts has expanded into digital programming to broaden global access to classical arts. Its online concerts and virtual events have reached audiences in more than 60 countries, attracting millions of viewers. The initiative also runs Carnatic Quest, a major talent discovery platform that supports young Carnatic musicians and encourages the next generation of performers.

Through concerts, talent platforms, and digital outreach, HCL Concerts continues to support the ecosystem of Indian classical arts by creating opportunities for artists, encouraging cultural education, and connecting audiences worldwide with traditional music and dance.

History

HCL Concerts was launched in 1998 by HCL Group, a global technology enterprise founded in 1976 by Shiv Nadar. While HCL became a pioneer of modern computing in India, the initiative was created as part of the group’s broader commitment to cultural and social development. The program aimed to provide a consistent platform for the presentation and preservation of India’s classical music and dance traditions.
