Todi: Haan Re Dainya

Kesarbai Kerkar (1892–1977) was a Hindustani classical vocalist of the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana. Her 2013 posthumous release Kesarbai Kerkar compiled archival recordings on a 12\" vinyl format under Canary Records.

The album features a 1950s performance of the raga Todi composition Haan Re Dainya as track B5. Kerkar renders the khayal in vilambit ektaal followed by a drut teentaal section, showcasing the gharana’s emphasis on intricate taan patterns and emotional depth.
