Raga@7: Resonance – Ode to Call of the Valley: 13th February Friday

Resonance—Ode to Call of the Valley is a concert series that draws inspiration from the iconic albums Call of the Valley and Valley Recalls, created by bansuri maestro Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and santoor virtuoso Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. These landmark recordings are celebrated for their innovative fusion of melody, rhythm and natural ambience, shaping a distinctive place in Indian classical music history.

Carrying this artistic lineage forward, Resonance presents Santoor artist Ninad Daithankar, a student of Pt. Shivkumar Sharma; Saurabh Vartak on Bansuri, trained under Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia; and Saleel Tambe on Tabla, a respected accompanist throughout the UK and Europe.

Performing as a unified trio, they honour their maestros while bringing a fresh and expressive touch to tradition, offering audiences a captivating contemporary musical experience.
