Biography
Vaishnavi Srinivasan is a Bharatanatyam dancer based in Chennai, recognized as part of the emerging generation of performers in Indian classical dance. She is a disciple of the renowned Bharatanatyam guru Roja Kannan and is associated with the prestigious dance institution Bharatha Natyalaya, where she has developed a strong foundation in traditional Bharatanatyam technique and repertoire.
Vaishnavi Srinivasan has presented performances at several classical dance platforms and festivals. In 2025, she received recognition as the second-best dancer in the Spirit of Youth series organized by The Music Academy Madras, an initiative known for identifying promising young artists. She has also performed at venues such as Kasturi Srinivasan Hall in Chennai as part of the institution’s concert series.
Beyond solo performances, Vaishnavi has been associated with Apsaras Arts since 2021, participating in major international productions such as Arisi, Amara, and Nirmanika across India, Sri Lanka, and the United States. She has also completed the Nritya Sali program on the 108 Karanas under the guidance of Padma Subrahmanyam at Nrithyodhaya, while also exploring complementary skills such as nattuvangam, photography, and design related to dance.
